dual falcon motor gearbox

solidworks - 2020

A gearbox made for the Steel Hawks's 2020 FRC robot that can hold two Falcon motors apart to accommodate spacing and avoiding combustion.
 

Lessons learned:

  • Gears and pinion tool

  • Utilized dimensions to the 6th decimal place to ensure precision

  • Exported as a .dxf file and laser cut to make a gearbox plate
